Clear Creek Abbey Work Day - March 3, 2012
The Clear Creek Abbey Work Day is an annual work day when hundreds of lay men and women lend a hand to help the monks build for the future. On this day over 400 members of the community that supports Clear Creek Abbey descend onto the property to help the monks with the upkeep of their farm, property and shops. Because of the rigors of a dedicated comtemplative life the monks are not able to complete many tasks needed to maintain the property. The Work Day participants build fences, burn brush, plant trees, fix roads, repair and refurbish buildings, prepare meals, and much, much more. All are welcome.
